In issue 9/22 of the magazine EUROHEAT&POWER an article about the use of our heatbeat Digital Twin in the Shamrockpark in Herne has been published. We are happy to make this article also available to you here in PDF format as a free download.
In the Shamrockpark in Herne, we have investigated how the local waste heat potential from nearby industry and a data center can be used in the best possible way to supply existing buildings and new buildings despite the low temperature level. The article shows how a bidirectional, ultra-low temperature district heating network can be used to balance heating and cooling demands in the district and thus contribute to an efficient system operation.
This work was developed as part of the research project TransUrban.NRW. We would like to thank the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action for funding the project with funding code 03EWR020P.
