As part of the project, the existing heating network was digitally recorded. The heatbeat Digital Twin serves as the foundation for the transformation of the network. The visualisation and analysis of the current status enables the identification of optimisation measures.
As part of the project, the existing district heating network at the Münster site was digitised. Information on the network layout, dimensions and connection customers was processed and transferred to the heatbeat Digital Twin. Measurement data on the current and historical operation of transfer stations and feed-in was incorporated into the Digital Twin.
This created a basis for the transformation of the district heating network, which consists of two network strands. The visualisation of all available information in the Digital Twin supports the analysis of the network and is now used to identify potential for optimisation. As planning and transformation progress, individual measures can be evaluated using the digital twin.
The project involved integrating various data sources to create a digital database for the network. In addition to the interactive map view of the existing network, dashboards of the connected buildings and the network feed were provided. Existing measurement data is displayed here and, based on this, key figures such as compliance with certain target outputs and temperatures are presented. The collected processing of all information in one place provides a structured overview.
